1/6/13

Instead of opening with a song that we sing,
we'd like to open with this video:
Please note that there is a commercial at the beginning of this video that we'll need to skip, then pause so it's ready before the service starts.

After the Welcome, we'll sing the following:

  • Walking in the Light
  • Tender Mercy
  • Lord I Lift Your Name on High
  • Give Us Clean Hands
  • Holy, Holy, Holy

Closing Song (please put up words for this too):
  • Agnes Dei

Closing Song (if Joel's around) - Glory to God

Our unique situation this week is that Ben is leaving for West Virginia to help close the family cabin right after we sing.  So, he won't be around for the closing song.  I thought it would be nice to start and end with the one song, but if Joel has to leave early too, we'll cut it.  See you guys at 9am.  Thanks!!

Next two week's Songs

My apologies to Joel!  We just found the blue book of songs here at our house and I know I told you we'd get that to the church before our trip.  How long?   How long will you put up with us? How long? How loooooong?
Songs for 8/7/11

  • River of Life
  • My Hope is You
  • Psalm 40
  • Lord You Are More Precious
Closing Song: Glory to God

Tomorrow, we'll be missing Sam on keyboards and power point.  Not sure who he's got lined up to do that.  We'll also miss Joel. Since I'm nesting and kinda super on a roll, here's the songs for next week too:
8/14/11
  • Walking in the Light
  • {GUITAR CHANGE}
  • I'll fly away
  • Waterfall
  • God of Wonders
  • Agnes Dei
No closing song

Any songs that are new to our junior band, please take a little extra time to practice and/or watch on YouTube this coming week - except for Sam who's travelling! I'm pretty sure there's a few for next week's line-up that aren't as familiar.  If anyone has anything inspired to say during the guitar change, speak up!  We would love to have someone new say something!   Thanks and see y'all at 8:30!

11/21/10

  • I'll fly away
  • Great Storm
  • Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord
  • ---guitar change---
  • Glory of God
  • ---guitar change---
  • Agnes Dei
Closing Song:   I'll fly away (again)

Diego, Maybe you could play that slideshow of Marcella's during offertory, it's the Fall Fest pics?  Ask Chet if you don't know about this, Cella's away all weekend.  Which means she won't be there to help this week.

Frieda and Joey,  There's a couple of guitar changes Ben will have to do, if either of you are inspired, there's two little opportunities to say something profound, or at least personal, like what you're learning these days or ways you sense God moving. Think about it and let me know that morning if you have something for this.

Helps to be planful when we know we're going to have a lull, and no bass solo to fill in the gap like last week...thanks Ben!!!   We'll miss you this week...and all of next semester!

Meet at 8:45am por favor.

Songs Sunday 10/10/10

Hey, all the numbers line up 10/10/10. I wonder if we might be able to get together to practice some time this weekend. I have a new song that I heard while visiting another church this past Sunday. Its in the blue hymnal at church and called We are strangers no more. I think the page in 332. I'm not crazy about the melody but the words fit so well for Lifebridge and our group is good at improvising. Give it a look. Maybe after church sunday?

Songs for this week include:

  • Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord
  • I will not forget you
  • Lord I lift Your Name on High
  • Agnes Dei
With special music by Freida and Kayla!! Yay!!
New closing song: "Glory to God in the Highest" -Ben will lead

Next week Ben and Becca will be in Mansfield. Gale has agreed to help accompany and plans to choose the songs for that week as Joel, Rose and Ben don't return until the day before. Call Gale to find out what time to meet her & Joel at church to practice before hand, as there might be a new song in the mix.

The week of Fourth of July, Ben and Becca will be in West Virginia. I believe Joel, Rose & Ben, and Gale & Cory will be at the Mennonite Conference in Columbus. I haven't asked Maria yet to see if she's available.

Hopefully, life will get back to normal again after that.
